Australian online casino rules

ACMA’s explanation of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 identifies online casinos as prohibited services that must not be advertised in Australia. A foreign licence or working web address does not itself establish Australian permission.

Its July–September 2022 report records enforcement against affiliate reviewers promoting prohibited casinos and directing readers to them. An independence or affiliate label therefore should not be mistaken for an exemption.
